To best enjoy your Barley in pod, we recommend a "Ristretto" (25 ml) or "Lungo" (40 ml) extraction.

The expert's trick

Before inserting the barley pod, perform a brief rinse of the machine by letting out only hot water. This step eliminates any coffee residue and warms the cup, preventing thermal shock and ensuring an espresso with a pure, rich, and uncompromising flavor.

Maintenance advice

The 44 mm paper pods release very few solid residues compared to ground barley, but tend to absorb a lot of water during the pre-infusion phase. To maximize the life of your machine, perform a descaling cycle every 3-4 months using citric acid-based descalers, avoiding vinegar which could damage the internal seals.
